John W. Johnson, 86, of 512 Trimble Blvd., Brookhaven, died Tuesday in Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland. He was a retired employee of the Philadelphia Electric Co. where he worked for 30 years. Born in Princeton [actually Bluefield], W.Va., he lived in Chester before moving to Brookhaven. He lived in Brookhaven for 20 years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Philadelphia Electric Co., Parkside Retired Men's Association and the Brookhaven Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Emma Kepfer; one son, J. William of Parkside; one sister, Erie L. Johnson of Radford, Va.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday from the Melvin I. Minshall Funeral Home, Middletown and Knowlton Roads, Middletown. Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Concord. The family requests memorial contributions to the Brookhaven Baptist Church on Edwards Drive.
