Elnora Faye Boze, 80, Chillicothe, IL, formerly of Mauckport, died at 5:38 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe. A native of New Amsterdam, born March 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William D. (Dee) & Mary A. Shireman Cotner. She was a homemaker, a 1974 graduate of Illinois Central College, where she earned a nursing degree, and was a former employee of Princess Peggy, Parkhill Nursing Home, Apostolic Christian Home and Corydon Nursing Home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe and Wesley Chapel in Valley City. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters, two brothers and a grandson. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, George Hall Boze; two sons, Cecil O. and George H. Jr. Boze, both of Chillicothe; two brothers, Herman Cotner of Corydon and Clay Cotner of New Amsterdam; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral: Thursday, July 27, at Davison-Fulton Anderson Chapel in Chillicothe with burial in Chillicothe City Cemetery. The family suggests memorial gifts to the educational fund for children of Casey Boze in care of CEFCU on Sheridan Road in Peoria.
