Clayton H. Cotner, 79, died Feb 22, 2010, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon, IN. A native of Mauckport, IN, he was born Oct. 11, 1930, to the late William Dewey "Dee" & Mary Shireman Cotner. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church near Mauckport and a Marine veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Concetta "Connie" Cotner; his parents; 3 brothers, James, Maurice and Herman Cotner; and 7 sisters, Clara Rhodes, Virgie Tolley, Beulah Beanblossom, Elnora Boze, Doris Singleton, Marilyn Davison and Flora Cotner. Mr. Cotner is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Feb. 26 at the church. Pastor Betty Sieberns officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pallbearers were Brian Heilig, Jeremy and Brian Plowman, Kurt Davison, Alan Coffman, Courtnee and Cristifer Cotner, Baron Singleton and Troy Bateman. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Vistacare Hospice.
