COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY - 03/18/2003 - NEW ALBANY
Beulah F. Cotner Beanblossom, 81, died Sunday [March 16, 2003] at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. A native of New Amsterdam, IN, she was born March 17, 1921, to the late William D. & Mary Shireman Cotner. She was a member of the VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 Ladies' Auxiliary in New Albany and the Royal Neighbors of America. Survivors include a daughter, Rita Marking & her husband, Art, of New Albany; two granddaughters, Tina Bostock & her husband, Scott, of New Albany, and Tamara McGiboney & her husband, Gary, of New Orleans, LA; a grandson, Travis Marking of New Orleans; four great-grandchildren, Shelbi, Drew, Keelyn and Ciara; two brothers, Clayton Cotner of Mauckport, IN, and Herman Cotner of Corydon, IN; and three sisters, Doris Singleton of Central, IN, who cared for her, and Virgie Tolley and Elnora Boze, both of Chillicothe, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne H. Beanblossom. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harrison County Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, near Mauckport. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, also near Mauckport. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Wesley Chapel Cemetery Fund.
