Funeral services for Vera Lee Applegate, 76, of Mannford were held Monday at First Baptist Church. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mannford Funeral Home. She died on November 8, 2002 in Tulsa. She was born on May 1, 1926 in Waynesville, Missouri. Her husband, Chester Boyd Applegate, died on June 2, 1993. She is survived by her daughters, Joy Lynn Rashendorfer and Rhonda Carol Watkins, both of Mannford; her brother, Cleo Hammock of Ashland, Kansas; her sisters, Orpha Berry and Vena Reed, both of Mannford; five grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
