79, of 683 N. Cherry St., Galesburg, IL died at 1:28 AM Wednesday, March 10, 2004 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1924 in Abingdon, IL the daughter of Lloyd L. and Pearl L. Taylor Curtis. She married Melvin Gray in 1941 in Galesburg, IL. He died in 1975. She then married Roy E. Peterson on January 6, 1979 in Galesburg, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons; Eric W. and Gary W. Gray both of Galesburg, IL, one step son; James Peterson of Ft. Pierce, FL, two step daughters; Janet (and Charles) Deal of Red Bud, IL and Carol (and Mike) Noll of Galesburg, IL, two sisters; Beth McGraw of Wataga, Il and Mable Osborne of Monmouth, IL, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one son Terry Gray and three brothers.
She worked as an assembler for Gale Products Division of Outboard Marine Corporation for 30 years, retiring in March of 1983. She lived in Galesburg her entire life. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Saturday at the Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
