Archil (Archie ) Frank Cyr was the son of Frank Zepher Cyr and Vesta Ann Lewis. He was born on his father's homestead 7 miles southeast of Clyde, Cloud County, Kansas. He was a farmer and a civic leader, and belonged to the Methodist Church.
Archil's first marriage was to Lillie Paronto, daughter of George Paronto, on September 1906. Three children were born to this marriage. His second marriage was to Cenia Dufran, daughter of Charles Dufran and Leona Cyr, 3 Aug 1949 at Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas.
Archil died of a heart attack on his farm house located 3 miles east of Elkhart, Kansas in Morton County. Masonic Rites were read at the Elkhart Cemetery the day of his burial.
