Edna was the daughter of Charles Ludwig Ehle, Sr. who was born August 22, 1846 in Essen, Nordrhein Westfalen (North Rhine Westfalia), Germany, and died 1935 in Imperial, Allegheny County, PA. Charles married Lena Gausser 19 NOV 1892 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania USA. Lena was his 2nd wife, and she was born June 22, 1866 in Sauxen, Nieder Sachsen, Germany, and died 1953 in Imperial, Allegheny County, PA. They are buried in the Valley Cemetery, Imperial, Allegheny County, PA.
Edna married Charles Edward Ackman in Pennsylvania, son of Charles William Ackman and Ann Elizabeth "Mina" Jacob. He was born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA, and died suddenly on a fishing trip with his son, Donald, about 2:00 PM in the Intercoastal Waterway near Titusville, Brevard County, FL.
Edna, affectionately known as "Mum Mum", was my adopted grandmother. Mum Mum was a very sweet, kind, Christian lady. She is deeply missed by all that knew her.
Mum Mum taught me how to crochet. I also remember her walking me down Garden Street on Sunday to attend the local Lutheran Church.
