She was a daughter of Charles and Edna Ehle Ackman. She worked as a teller for Mellon Bank in Aliquipa. After retiring from Mellon, she worked as a secretary for the Raccoon Creek State Park.
An avid quilter, she was a member of the Panhandle Piecemakers Quilters. She also enjoyed gardening and most especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.
Her husband, E Dwight Harper, passed away in Oct 1972.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Donny Doak, and her brother Donald Ackman.
