Mrs. Bernard is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Susan Bernard of Piqua and John (Jack) and Susan Bernard of Milford, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law: Sandra and Robert Black of Piqua; two sisters: Viola Shenk and Evelyn Schulte both of Minster, OH and one brother: Paul Meyer of Minster, OH. Adelle is also survived by eight grandchildren: Ryan Black and Kristin Kronenberger, Heather Black, Brian Cary and Hope Cox, Matthew Bernard all of Piqua and Lauren and Sara Bernard of Milford, OH and three great grandchildren: Jenna Kronenberger, Dahlton Black and Braxton Cary all of Piqua. One son: Mark Bernard and four brothers preceded her in death.
Adelle graduated from Minster High School in 1947. She was a member of St. Boniface Church in Piqua and the St. Clara Society. She worked as a bookkeeper at Tempo Trophy for 10 years and retired from Hartzell Fan after 3 years of service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Church in Piqua with Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home; with a prayer service at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Boniface Reserve Education Fund or the Leukemia-Myeloma Society.
