Surviving are two sons, Richard (Ileana), Escazu, Costa Rica, James (Shirley), Minster; a son-in-law, Roland (Mary) Bernhold; a sister, Evelyn Schulte, Minster; four sisters-in-law, Wilma Schockman, Edna Prenger, Audrey (Paul) Meyer and Audrey (Wil)) Meyer, all Minster; a brother-in-law, Eugene Shenk, Pennyann, NY; and multiple grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Patricia Bernhold; five brothers, Clarence, Norbert, Arthur, Paul and Wilfred; and a sister, Adelle Bernard.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Minster FOE 1391 Auxiliary, a 1927 graduate of Minster High School and a graduate of Ft. Wayne Business College. She was owner and operator of Shenk's Dry Goods & Ready Wear from 1957 till 1978 and employed at M.C. Bernhold Insurance, Minster, as a payroll administrator from 1978 till 2008.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church, with Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating.
