Annis was the daughter of William and Sophia (Cox) Galloway. She was first married to Waller L. Rothwell on 6 Dec 1848 at McMinn Co., Tn., and they had two sons, Wm Thomas and John Richard. They moved to Hempstead Co., Ar. sometime in the fall of 1850 and Waller died there in 1852. On March 13, 1853, Annis married John Ross, Sr., in Hempstead Co., AR. Their children were: Geo W., Martin L., Elizabeth T., Martha E., Mary V., Thena, Eliza C., Lucinda E., John Jr., Harrison M., and Scott A.

Single upright white gravestone (names and dates for both husband & wife). Marker broken but apparently some repair. Still legible. Engraved pic of hands holding Holy Bible.
