Sara graduated from McComb High School and then attended Bowling Green University. She later graduated from Eastern Montana College in Billings with a Master's Degree in Special Education with Emphasis in Reading.
On March 23, 1941, Sara married Roy J Neeley. To this union six daughters were born. Sara and Roy made their home in Liberty Township, Ohio before moving their family to Powell in 1953.
Sara taught at Powell High School from 1960 to 1982. Teaching was her passion and she was deeply devoted to her students. After Sara and Roy retired, they spent many winters in Parker Dam, Arizona, and summers at their cabin in Sunlight Basin.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, canning, and making pies.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy of 60 years; grandson, Brett J Martin; sister, Eunice Marvin; and brother, Dean Ewing.
She is survived by her six daughters, Janet (Danny) Martin of Wheatland, Wyoming, Troas Ann (Daniel) Groutage of Blackfoot, Idaho, Nancy (Ike) Roberts of Powell, Wyoming, Peggy (Jim) Gifford of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Patsy (Larry) Wirth of Buffalo, Wyoming, and Sandra (Bret) Hatch of Powell, Wyoming; her brother, Robert Ewing of Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Ewing of McComb, Ohio; cousins, Dortha Helen Marsh and Marcella Newmark of Ohio; 14 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
