When Henderson learned from Mr. Methvin that the Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow gang were planning to rob the First National Bank of Arcadia, he immediately contacted the FBI Agent Purvis, in charge of the investigation.
Henderson was one of six law enforcement officers that planned and took part in the ambush of the outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow on May 23, 1934. FBI Agent Purvis credited Henderson with the plan to capture Bonnie and Clyde.
Henderson served in World War I as PFC, MG Co, 83 Infantry from Louisiana.
Henderson died on June 13, 1958 in Arcadia and was buried on June 15, 1958 in Arcadia Cemetery, Arcadia, Bienville Parish, Louisiana, where his wife joined him in 1961. Henderson and Annie Lesba led a full life.
