Earline was the ninth child born to Viola Bailey and James Rogers Jordan.
She lived in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana and taught at Centenary College. She was honored as Teacher of The Year several times during her tenure. She made many interesting trips with her fellow teacher friends to Europe.
Earline never married and used her position as the "Favorite Aunt" to the children of her sisters and brothers, to enrich and help them build the characteristics they would need in later life.
