Funeral services for Mable Ester Barnes 80, Caulfield were at 10:00a.m. Monday Jan. 18,1993 in the Rose Chapelof Robertson Drago Funeral Home of West Plains.
Mrs. Barnes died at 12:45 p.m. Friday Jan. 15,1993 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She was born Dec. 25,1912 at Amity, Colo., the daughter of James Monroe and lura Jane McCurry.
She recieved her education in the schools of Holly, Colo. and Potwin, Kan. On March 28,1931, she was married to George William Barnes, who prededed her in death April 9,1983 Mrs. Barnes was a seamstress and loved to crochet.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include six children, Joyce Nelson and husband, the Rev. Bob Nelson Kingsford heights, Ind., Patsy Bales and husband Eddie, Jean Barnes, Junior Barnes and wife Maggie, and Mickey Barnes, all of Caulfield, and Monte Barnes and wife Lynda, West Plains.
Eight Grand children; 10 Great Grand children; one great-Great grand daughter; two brothers, Barney McCurry, Yuba City, Calif. and Fred McCurry, Marshall, Ark.: two sisters, Geraldine Charge, Sutter Calif. and Fern Murfin , Lowell, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Geraldine McCurry, Sutter, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.
She was prededed in death by her parents ; three brothers, Basil McCurry, Cecil McCurry and Oscar McCurry and two sisters, Snowie Balter and Goldie McCurry.
Memorial contributuions may be made to the Baptist Hill Cemetery fund and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Burial was in Baptist Hill Cemetery in Elijah, Ozark County, Missouri under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
