Mickie was born blind
Mickie could listen to a song several times and then imitate the singer.
Mickie was diagnosed with bone cancer, he got a bad nose bleed and was taken to the Hospital where they gave him a shot to stop the nose bleed and he was let go home . when they went to check on him at home later he was dead.
Charles "Mickey" Barnes Dies Sunday
Private services for Charles Michael "Mickey" Barnes 60, Caulfield, will be held at a later date.
Mr. Barnes died 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003 at his home. He was born Jan. 6,1943 at Yuba City, Calif. The son of George William and Mable Ester McCurry Barnes.
He loved music, studying the Bible, and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include two brothers, Junior Barnes and wife, Maggie, and Monte Barnes and wife, Lynda all of Caufield: Three sisters, Patsy Bales and husband , Eddie, and JeannieBarnes all of Caufield, and Joyce Nelson and husband, Bob, Columbus, Ind.: Three Aunts, Fern Murfin, Pineville, Vergie McCurry, Marshall, Ark. and Geraldine McCurry, Sutter, Calif.: and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, and many aunts and uncles.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral home of West Plains.
