Boggs 04/06/1841 in Marion, MIssouriAlmeda came over the Oregon Trail with her parents, husband and children in 1853. John Cary Barney along with his brother and son-in-law had previously come out during the gold rush of 1849. When they returned with their families, John and Elizabeth split off to California while Almeda and her family went to Polk County, Oregon. Maybe via the Applegate Trail.John is my 4th Great Grandfather.
