Chico Enterprise, Vol. 27, No. 10. July 5, 1895. Death of Mrs. Hannah Simons. Mrs. Hannah Simons, wife of J.C. Simons, of Chapmantown, died yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock of pneumonia.
The deceased had been ill for 9 weeks and her death was not unexpected. Deceased was a native of Pennsylvania, age 61 years and had resided in Chapmantown five years. Besides her husband there are 7 children who mourn her loss--three boys and four girls. The relatives in Chico are a husband, one son, and two daughters. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon from the family residence at 3 o'clock.
Chico Weekly Chronical-Record, Vol. 33, Sat. July 6, 1895. The funeral of Mrs. Hannah Simons, who died Friday after a short illness, took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the family residence in Chapmantown. There was a large gathering of friends of the deceased present at the funeral ceremonies which were conducted by the Reverend Stephens of the Babtist Church. The choir of that church was present and furnished the music. There were numerous floral offerings.
