He was born on Jan. 13, 1955 at Cleveland Hospital, son of Vergie Gilliard and the late Johnny Edward Bush.
Funeral: First Baptist Church.
Visitation: First Baptist Church, one hour before service.
Interment: Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
Willie attended Cherryville High School where he attained a football scholarship to AT&T University. Willie married Evelyn Hope on Jan. 15 1983, and they were married 24 years. Willie loved the Lord, sports and washing cars. He and family members had started detailing cars.
SURVIVORS: Willie leaves behind his lovely, devoted wife, Evelyn Hope Bush of the home. He also leaves to mourn his death four sisters, Shirley Bailey (Floyd) of Charlotte, Bonnie Mae Whisnant (Ray) and Johnnie Mae Houser all of Cherryville, Darlene Smith (Wayne) of Gastonia; two brothers, Junior Bush (Sue) of Monroe and Charles Edward Bush of Cherryville. Five sister-in-laws; two brother-in-laws; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
