NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Barbara Sue Billips Stacy, age 58, of the Baptist Valley community in North Tazewell, Va., died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W.Va. Born June 8, 1954 in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Marlin and Georgia Marie Mounts Billips.
She was of the Christian faith and was baptized at Riverside Community Church at North Tazewell, Va. Barbara loved gardening and crafting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Stacy; two sisters, Patricia Ann Billips and Pamela Jean Dunford; one brother, Paul Billips.
She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Stacy of Centreville, Va. and fiancé, Christopher Victor Skarp; one son, Nicholas Stacy of North Tazewell, Va. and fiancée, Caitlin Fleming; five sisters, Brenda Whitt and Wanda Billips both of Mudfork, Va., Jackie White, Theda Lowe, and Shelia Gibson all of North Tazewell, Va.; one brother, Larry Billips of Mudfork, Va.; one granddaughter, Phoebe Grace Skarp; and her special caring friends at Highland Ambulance Service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Reverend Howard Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Sluss Cemetery at Mudfork in Tazewell County, Va. Pallbearers will be Sam Johnson, Jeremy Byrd, David Dunford, Nick White, Zach Hale, Antwain Coxton, and Sam Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Nicholas Stacy and Christopher Skarp.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
