He married Julia Aileen Ashby of Leamington, Utah, in the Manti LDS Temple on May 24, 1940. Bert is survived by his wife, Julia; four sons and two daughters: Glenn (Annette) Cherrington, Sandy; Paul (Janet) Cherrington, Scottsdale, Arizona; Stephen (Lynne) Cherrington, Orem; Patricia (Raymond) Jensen, Springville; Thomas (Mary) Cherrington, Providence, Utah; Jan and Brett Watson, Springville; 28 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters: Captola Murdock and Jane Hinckley, Springville; Carol (Glen) Clark, Snowflake, Arizona; brother Jack (June) Cherrington, Logan. Burial was October 23, 1995.
