Passed away at the age of 85 after a brief illness. Jane was born in Provo, UT to Hilda Wheeler Cherrington and Amyot Willard Cherrington. She was raised on "the farm" on the East bench of Springville, UT, where she learned to play the piano, did farm work and learned how to pick "Cherrington Cherries". She graduated from Springville High School and attended Utah State. She married Merlin J. Norton in the Salt Lake Temple. They had two sons Michael J. Norton and Howard Cherrington Norton. They later divorced in 1967. In 1971 she married William R. Hinckley in the Manti, UT Temple. They lived in Omaha, NE, until Bill passed away in October 1989. Jane later moved to Springville, UT, where she built her home on "the farm".
