Mrs. Ashburn died January 30, 2013 at her granddaughter’s home.
She was born November 21, 1925 to the late Claude and Harriet Griffin Luke.
Mrs. Ashburn was a member of Hampton Crossroads Baptist Church.
She and her late husband, Harlie Ashburn owned and operated Harlie’s Restaurant for a number of years.
She later served for over 20 years at Walmart in Cookeville before retiring for health reasons.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Ashburn;
three brothers, Leon, Ralph, and Bill Luke;
two sisters, Ethel Lafever and Essie Bullington.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Amanda Fletcher and her husband Chris, and Charity Ashburn and her fiancé, John Zoodsma, all of Cookeville; daughter-in-law, Kathy Lynn Ashburn; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Jane Gotcher and staff, special care givers Janell Vaughn, Amber Loftis, and Mikaela Smith, as well as all the staff at NHC Homecare.
Pallbearers will be Andy Turner, Steven Bullington, Jeff Bullington, Michael Bullington, David Lafever, and Jonathon Judd.
