COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Billie B. Luke, 87, of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, April 15, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends today, Wednesday, April 14, from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 7 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mr. Luke died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 24, 1922, in Putnam County to the late Claude and Harriet Luke.

His family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Lynn Wolfe of Kansas; a sister, Viretta Ashburn of Cookeville; and five grandchildren, Brian and Eric Luke and Robert, Jonathan and Laura Wolfe.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Luke was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Dyer Luke; a son and daughter-in-law, Billie Charles and Joan Luke; two brothers, Leon and Ralph Luke; two sisters, Essie Bullington and Ethel Lafever; and a granddaughter, Lisa Ann Wolfe.

Family and friends will be pallbearers. Bro. Steve Tiebout will officiate the services.
