Javotte Codner, 88, of Allison, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She was born on February 17, 1924, to John Bernard and Flora Christine (Lincoln) Weires. Javotte graduated from Allison High School. She was united in marriage to Harry H. Codner on September 3, 1942, in Lancaster, Missouri. Javotte worked as a Deputy Treasurer at the Butler County Courthouse, as a librarian and later in life for the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Allison as a greeter. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greene, the Altar Society, the Catholic Daughters of America, Legion Auxiliary, Red Hat Society and was also a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Javotte enjoyed playing bridge, reading and knitting. She was well known for her ability to bake pies. Javotte is survived by her sons Steve (Linda) Codner of Saylorville, Bob (Kathy) Codner of Urbandale, Mike (Dorothy) Codner of Brisow and Bill (RaeAnn) Codner of Allison, grandchildren John Codner, Carol Ballhagen, Kristie Kramer, Craig Codner, Brad Codner, Casey Codner, Keri McGlynn, Kyle Codner, Tyler Codner and Kim Carvin, nineteen great-grandchildren and sister Bernita Anderson of Greene. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Flora, husband Harry, son Patrick and sister Ferol Harms.

Burial will take place in the Allison Cemetery.
