Mrs. Ella Ellett

Mrs. Ella Ellett passed away Thursday, November 21st, in the sixty-second year of her age, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. howard Garlock near Portlandville. The immediate cause of her death was apoplexy, although for some time she had been nearly helpless with spinal trouble. The funeral was held from the home of the daughter above mentioned, Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, REv. E.R.D. Briggs of milford officiating. She was laid at rest by the side of her husband in the family plot in Schenevus cemetery. The elk Creek Grange in which she was a member and the the Rev. D.P. Lappeus officiating at the grave. She leaves to mourn their loss of a beloved mother and sister; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Garlock of Portlandville, Mrs. Oliver Rathbone, of East Meredith, one son W.J. Ellett of Westville, two brothers, Rodney Whitney of South Kortright, Andrew Whitney of morris, and two sisters; Mrs. jerry Rosecrans of Bloomville and Mrs. Joseph Richards; four grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends. There were relatives and friends present at the funeral from South Kortright, Bloomville, East Meredith, Hobart, Oneonta, Morris, Hartwick Seminary, Milford, Westville, Westford and Maryland. - Our Westville Reporter
