The daughter of Lana and John Bonds, she was born Aug. 16, 1902 in Powell, (Indian Territory) Okla. She was raised near Fort Cobb and later attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
While visiting her aunt and uncle in Guymon, she met Roy Beer and they were united in marriage on Oct. 19, 1922 in Guymon, she met Roy Beer and they were united in marriage on Oct. 19, 1922 in Guymon. The Beer family made their home a mile north of the Hough community where they were involved in farming . In later years, the Beer's moved to Boise City where they owned and operated the Dairy Kreem for seven years before moving to Guymon . She was employed by the Guymon High School Cafeteria for a number of years before retiring . Mr Beer died in 1980.
She was a member of Victory memorial United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women's Guild. She loved working in the yard and especially enjoyed flowers.
Survivors include a daughter - Lois, and her husband Eldon Grabeal of Guymon; two sons, Roy Beer and his wife, Ponchita of Liberal, Kan. and Jack Beer and his wife Juanita of Oklahoma City; 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 11 great - great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, five sisters, a son, Bobby Joe Beer, three daughters, Ruth Gloden, Dorothy Lunsford and Bonnie Lunsford and great - granddaughter - Nikki Ogan.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 5 at 2 pm. at Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with rev Tim Wilkins, associate pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of Henson - Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
