Alva, Oklahoma
Jackie Neal Beer, 71, died on August 8, 2008 at his residence in Liberal, Kansas. He was a retired butcher. He was born on August 9, 1936 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Roy E. and Elsie (Bonds) Beer. On July 3, 1954, he married Juanita D. Darr in Clayton, New Mexico. She died on August 14, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ruth Gloden, Dorothy Lunsford, and Bonnie Lunsford; two brothers, Bobby Joe Beer and Roy D. Beer; and a grandson. He is survived by his children, Billy Beer, Bobby J. Beer, Brad Beer, and Becky J. Beer, all of Liberal, Kansas; one sister, Lois Grabeal of Casa Grande, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Freedom United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Claycomb officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
