"Mary A. Slofkosky, age 85 of Albia, passed away August 8, 2009 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia, Iowa.

Mary was born to George Annon and Opal Ragsdale on May 20, 1924 in Caldwell, Idaho.

Mary married Robert Wayne Burrell of Rippey, Iowa on October 17, 1943 in Caldwell, Idaho. Robert passed away in 1973.

Mary married Stephen Slofkosky of Lovilia, Iowa at the St. Peter's Catholic Church on May 10, 1980.

Mary worked at Chamberlains Manufacturing Company in Albia for many years. After her time there, she was employed as a cook for the Monroe County Home and the Montezuma County Home for years. Mary enjoyed embroidering, puzzle books, spending time with family and friends, and being on the move.

Mary is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and both husbands, a brother-in-law and a son-in-law." per her obit.
