Rosemary Ann Conner, age 61 of Albia, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at her home in Albia.
Rose was born July 31, 1952, to Robert Wayne an Mary(Annon)Burrell. She was previously married and had 2 children, Katascha and Katrina. They divorced and she later married Ronnie Conner on September 9, 1985 in Forsythe, Missouri. They shared 24 years of marriage before Ronnie's passing on June 28, 2010.
Rose graduated from the Ottumwa High School, class of 1970. She also attended Indian Hills Community College, where she obtained her LPN. Rose worked in nursing, at Hawkeye Molding in Albia, and later as a janitor at the Lincoln Middle School in Albia. Rose enjoyed collecting Indians and collectibles pertaining to Indian culture. She liked listening to Joyce Myer Christian Ministry. She enjoyed ghost hunting and staying at various haunted places. Rose especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Rose is survived by her children, Katascha(Mike)Moffatt of Otley, and Katrina(TY)Thompson of Oskaloosa; 6 grandchildren, Tristin and Tori See, Michael Moffatt Jr., and Tyler, Serene, and Safiya Thompson; 2 brothers, Jerry "Wayne" Burrell and Kerry Burrell; and a sister, Phyllis Osborne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronnie; and her mother-in-law, Viola Conner.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am Friday, May 9, 2014, at Oak View Cemetery in Albia; with Pastor Andrew Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be 3-8 pm, Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Tharp Funeral Home, with Rose's family present from 6-8 pm.
