Fred Michael died quite suddenly Tuesday, aged 56 years 5 mo. and 12 days. His ailment was heart trouble. Monday morning he was busy in the hay field and hauled a load of lumber from Chesterton in the afternoon, for use in remodeling his house.
In 1888 he was married to Jerusha Reynolds, who with eleven children survive him, two children having preceded their father beyond the vale.
The surviving children are, William, Flora, Fred Jr., Curtis, Elmer, Allen, Glenn, Mattie, Arthur, Alma and Dorotha.
He was born in La Porte and since his marriage had resided on the farm where he died. He was a industrious man and a good farmer.
The funeral will be held at the home Friday afternoon, E. T. Scott having charge. Undertaker W. L. Dodd in attendance.
