MEREDITH RAY SHELTON, 60, of Cranes Nest, the husband of the Phyllis Shelton
was born on October 16, 1938 at Hubbs Creek to the late James Nelson Shelton
and the late Bertha Reynolds Shelton and passed away Saturday April 10, 1999
at his home. On December 10, 1958 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Carole
Parker. He was a factory worker. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Carole Shelton, Daughter, Carol Shelton Anders, son,s Douglas Shelton, Gerald Shelton, Danny ray Shelton and timothy Shelton.
Funeral services were conducted April 13 at 3:30 p.m. in the
Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Frazier, the Rev. Ray Napier,
the Rev. Bobby Epperson and the Rev. David Warren officiating. Burial
followed in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
