Helen worked as a checker for International Shoe Company in Hartford, Madison County, Illinois for 26 years.
Helen died at V.I.P. Manor following a long illness. At the time of her death, she was 72 years, 11 months and 13 days old.
She was survived by her husband, Ansel; 3 sisters, Esther Steele, Faye Robinson and Mary Lovell; and 4 brothers, Wendell, Jack, Jake and Steve Jacoby.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by 2 infant sisters and 1 brother, Robert, who was killed in action during World War II.
Visitation was conducted on 27 Apr 1987 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services were conducted there at 1:30 p.m. the following afternoon.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the Alzheimers Disease Foundation.
