Ballinger, Aug 12 - Funeral for J. B. Yancy, 67, of Paint Rock, prominent former Runnels county resident, will be held at Paint Rock Tuesday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. M. Williamson, Mason minister, officiating. Burial will be in a cemetery there.
Mr. Yancey, who moved from Ballinger to Paint Rock eight years ago, died in a Ballinger hospital Sunday night after suffering a heart attack Sunday afternoon.
He came to Runnels county from Mount Vernon, Tex., in 1908. He was born Dec. 31, 1879 at Clarksville.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Yancey; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Thompson of Ballinger and Mrs. Fred Ohles of McAllen; five sons, Earl, Doyle, W. F., George and J. B. Yancey Jr; two brothers, two sisters and seven grandchildren.
