Lewis Arner, 77-year-old resident of 107 Russell Street, Warren, Pa., died in his home at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday after having been in ill health for the past year.
Mr. Arner was born in Nebraska, Forest County. March 24, 1878, and had been a well-known resident of Warren since 1924.
He operated the Quality Cash Store in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, East for over 20 years, retiring in 1954 because of ill health.
A faithful and active member of Grace Methodist Church, Mr. Arner was a member of the men's Bible class of that parish and formerly served as a steward. He was also a member of Olive Lodge No. 557 F. and A. M., Tionesta.
Surviving are his widow, Edith Painter Arner, and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Kelly, and Mrs. Kate Haslet, Tionesta. and Mrs. Edith Vockroth, Titusville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
