Buford P. Dunn, 64, 2105 W. Purdue Ave., owner of Precision Tool and Die Co., died at noon Friday following a short illness. He was born in Clinton County and moved to Delaware County as a boy with his parents, Bert E. and Ida Pruitt Dunn. He attended Muncie High School. He founded Precision Tool and Die Co. in 1945 and remained active in the business since that time.

Mr. Dunn was a member and former Trustee of First Baptist Church, a member of Delaware Lodge of Masons 46, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, White Shrine, and Murpah Shrine Club. He was a member of the Development Committee of the Scottish Rite and was a past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of Delaware Country Club, Eagles Lodge 231, Elks Lodge 245, American Society of Tool Engineers, Indiana Manufacturers Association, Muncie Chamber of Commerce, and Indiana State Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Helen) Heath, Mrs. Donald (Phyllis) Jennings, Miss Margaret Dunn, all of Muncie, Mrs. James A. (Cecile) Donnay, St. Paul, Minnesota; two sons, Buford R. (Dick) and Thomas J. Dunn, both of Muncie; three sisters, Mrs. Isola Parsons, Noblesville, Mrs. Georgia Bond, Frankford, and Mrs. William (Thelma) Page, Claypool; a brother, Fleet Dunnk, Kirklin, and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary at 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Franz Edward Oerth, Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum at noon Monday. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Saturday, and any time prior to the services Sunday. Delaware Lodge of Masons 46 will conduct memorial services at the mortuary at 8 p.m. Saturday.
