3 VICTIMS OF COUNTY ACCIDENTS BEAVER DAM MAN DIES AS RESULT OF ACCIDENT NEAR BURNETT a 45 year old beaver dam man died sunday of injuries suffered in a traffic accident near burnett friday afternoon. elmer karl 45, 122 elm st. beaver dam died at 8:43 sunday morning of injuries suffered when his car crashed head-on into a large tree friday afternoon. dodge county coorner dr. harold heath and undersheriff don dye, who investigated the death, said karl suffered multiple head and chest injuries and a fractured right leg. he died at st. joseph's hospital here where he was taken following the accident. the accident happened at 12:30 pm friday, on county trunk i, at the lester pribnow farm about 2 miles west of burnett. police said karl's auto ran off the road and struck a large tree. officer alfred gurske, who went to the scene, said the auto was badly damaged. karl had been a representative for the watkins products co., here. funeral services for the late elmer p. karl will be held wednesday, sept. 13 at 2:00pm from briese co. funeral home. pastor g.t. hewlett of the wisconsin academy of columbus will officiate at the service and interment will be in oakwood cemetery. the late mr. karl was born nov. 6, 1915 in kewaunee, wi; the son of mr. and mrs. august karl. he was a graduate of the kewaunee high school and had attended the algoma state teachers college for 1 1/2 years. he was married sept. 22, 1939 to mildred abitz at brillion. he had resided at kewaunee for a period of 22 years, 17 years in brillion and one year in muskegan, michigan; and for the past five and one half years in beaver dam. survivors are: his wife; three sons, erwin, paul, and elmer jr.; two daughters, ruth and beatrice; three sisters, mrs. anton (christina)janowski, muskegan, michigan, mrs. victor(regina)quistroff of kewaunee and frances karl of kewaunee; four brothers, august, clarence, william of kewaunee and henry of two rivers. preceding in death were: his parents; two sisters, virginia and mrs. earl(iola)born of cooperstown, wi. he was a member of the seventh day adventists. friends may call at the briese co. funeral home after 2:00pm on tuesday until the hour of the service on wednesday.
