The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Jesse Sims officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
A native of Pennington Gap, Va., Mr. Brooks was a son of the late Curtis C. Brooks and Mary Florence Sumpter Brooks. He was of the Methodist faith and was retired from Westing-house Corp. of Charlotte. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II and was a Mason. He was the widower of Imogene B. Brooks.
Surviving are three sons, David C. Brooks and Patrick Brooks, both of Rock Hill, and Keith Brooks of Richmond, Va.; his daughter, Margaret Karen B. Jones of Greer; his brother, John Brooks of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Katherine Walter of Monroe, Mich., and Jane Phipps of Richmond, Va; and seven grandchildren.
