The Ogden standard Examiner August 10, 1958

Mrs. Ella May Taylor Swenson, longtime resident of Ogden, died yesterday in her home in Lakewood Calif., after a lingering illness.
She was born April 29, 1884, in Ogden, a daughter of Joseph Ezra and Sarah Ellen Barker Taylor. She was married to Car August Swenson on October 24, 1901, in Ogden. They received their endowment in the Logan LDS Temple on August 24, 1907.
She moved to California in 1944 to join Mr. Swenson, who had gone there a year earlier to make their home. An active worker in the LDS Church, she had been a home missionary in the East Long Beach Stake and a member of the Relief Society and genealogy groups.
Survivors include her husband, Lakewood, 13 sons and daughters, Carl L. Swenson, Encinitas, Calif.; Mrs. W. R. (Olive) Berry, Lynwood, Calif.; Louis E. Swenson, Grand Junction, Colo.; Merrill T. Swenson, Southgate, Calif.; Richard B Swenson, Howard B. Swenson, and Mrs. W. B. (Margaret) Russell, all of Ogden; Mrs. D. W. (Ruth) Hall, Downey, Calif.; James C. Swenson, Lakewood, Calif., Eugene H. Swenson, Bellflower, Calif., Joseph H. Swenson, Downey, Calif.; Mrs. J. A. (Irene) Dickson, Los Angeles; Mrs. A. P.
