She and George left Laurens County about 1833 and settled in Pickens County, Alabama until 1850. They then left Alabama for Texas where they lived in Washington, Austin and Colorado Counties in Texas. Martha's husband George died in Colorado County in 1867 and is buried in the Old Osage Cemetery.
