George Ball was the son of George Ball, Sr. and Jemima Martin?. He married Martha Overby of Laurens District, South Carolina on 04 February 1824. George, Martha and their small family then left Laurens District abt. 1833 and moved to Pickens County, Alabama where they stayed until 1850. They then moved to Texas where they lived first in Washington County. George and his family are found within the Providence Baptist Church records in Chappell Hill. George and Martha later lived in Austin and Colorado Counties until George's death in 1867. George was a Baptist Preacher. Martha died in 1881 and is buried in Brenham, Washington County, Texas.
