Alice M. (Collicott) Ruppert age, 95, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015 at her home in McCook.

Memorial services will be held Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Arun Peters officiating. A private family inurnment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge at a later time. Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1920 on the family farm near Overton to John and Christena (Rathsach) Jurgensen. Alice was a twin sister, one of five children born to this union. She graduated from Overton High School in 1939.

On June 15, 1946, she married Earle Collicott, to this union three children were born. Earle died Oct. 31, 1966. On June 16, 1971 she married Glenn W. Ruppert and he died Aug. 16, 1995.

Alice was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and B.P.O. Does. She enjoyed gardening, travel, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. Alice loved to play Pinochle and was a charter member of “Pinochle Marathon” 29 years ago.

Survivors include twin sister, Alma Snowden, of Kearney; one son, Richard (Jeri) Collicott of McCook; daughter, Carol Collicott of McCook and husband, Robert Stecker; step-daughters, Shirley Wolfe, of Lexington, Joanne (Dean) Roedel, of Greeley, Colo., Carol Max of Cambridge; step-daughter-in-law, Doris Ruppert of McCook, step-son, Larry (Lynda) Ruppert of McCook; seven grandchildren, Gordon (Mable) Collicott, Melissa (Robin) Turner, Wes (Heather) Collicott, Clint Collicott, Kelsey (Tyler) Brown, James McQuiety and Amie (Josh) Broz; 12 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Earle and Glenn; an infant son Harland; one step-son Don Ruppert and step-daughter Bonnie Maloley Neff; one sister Helen Adams; two brothers Harley Jurgensen and Dick Jurgensen; three step-son-in-laws Dan Wolfe, Zickie Maloley, and Alva Max; and two brothers-in-law, Harry Snowden, and Herman Adams.
