WILLARD IVES
FULTON — Willard Ives, 63, well-known Mount Pleasant farmer and a leader in the community, died Saturday evening in Lee Memorial hospital from injuries sustained from an automobile accident which occurred December 23, in Palermo. He was a life resident of the town of Volney and at the time of his death was master of the Mount Pleasant grange, a member of the Volney town board of assessors. He was secretary treasurer Of Boy Scout Troop 61 of the Mount Pleasant Methodist church and was a director of the Fire Relief association in Oswego county. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alice Lockwood Ives; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley Becker of Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Arnold Lathrop of Granby Center; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Parker and Mrs. Homer Osborne of Volney. The body was taken to the Springer Funeral Home and held their until Wednesday when it was taken to Mount Pleasant Methodist church for services at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Edna Elkins, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
