Edna Mae (Adams) Pyle, 95, of Latrobe, formerly of Boswell, died March 31, 2003, at Laurel Estates, Latrobe. Born Aug. 13, 1907 in Johnstown, daughter of Jonathan and Virginia (Yost) Adams. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 60 years, Arthur C. Pyle, March 25, 1985; son, Ronald, March 16, 1984; son-in-law, Lloyd Koontz, May 16, 1997; great grandson, Bradley Koontz; daughter-in-law, Grace (Saylor) Pyle; sisters: Mary Kesslar, Alice Short, and Clara Adams and brothers: William and Melvin. Survived by daughter, Marietta Koontz of Blairsville RD; son Jay A., married to Nancy Ryniak of Jennerstown; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and sisters, Jesse Sheets and Evelyn Thomas, both of Jerome. Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Boswell, where she had been a Sunday school teacher; former member of the auxiliary to the Boswell Volunteer Fire Department and the Covenant church's ladies auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Michael A. Dunlap officiating. Interment at the Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
