MELBA VERLEE HAMILTON ROBINSON
1920-2006

Melba Verlee Hamilton Robinson passed away on December 30, 2006. She was born April 1, 1920 in Huxford, Alabama.

She was the youngest daughter of nine children born to William Preston Hamilton and Eugenia Majors Hamilton. She has resided in Pensacola, Florida since 1946.

From the cotton fields of her childhood, to a Vanity Fair employee, to being a wife and mother, owning and operating "The White Flag" grocery store with A.L.
for many years, to becoming an insurance secretary for a few years, to being a landlord of multiple properties until this present day.

Melba worked hard all her life so she could help provide for her children and give them the things that she didn't have growing up in the Depression.

She instilled in them a strong work ethic, determination, discipline, and most of all, a love of family. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Andrew Leonard Robinson, to him she was married May 1, 1942.
