Original bio capsule as posted by FGraver Sherry Reynolds before her own passing, and my accepting management of the memorial page:

Oscar was born in 1909, the youngest son of parents John Watson and Susie Martha (nee Tibbs/Tebbs) Reynolds in East Oakland (Greasy Point/Morgan Township), Illinois. John was born in 1877 in Kansas to William and Margaret (nee Collins)and John's wife, Susan, in Kentucky to Joseph and Eliza R. (nee Bacon) Tibbs; John and Susie were married 1898 in Ashmore, Illinois. Oscar's parents had raised a grandson who is shown incorrectly as their son in the 1930 census. The boy was actually Oscar's nephew brought up by Oscar's parents and found out during school days who his real mother was. Jiggs/Bill/William/Junior as the nephew was called, had formed a relationship with his real mother in adulthood. I have a photo of Oscar's nephew's son Alan, and me on his biological mother's farm - about 1956.

Oscar's 1st wife was Lucille Reba Kline, is also from Illinois; they had 2 daughters named Reba Joann and Vivian Marie. Oscar had divorced Lucille around 1948 and married Bernice Marie Bilski of South Milwaukee (formerly Norway, Michigan) around 1950 in Tuscola IL. Oscar and Bernice's marriage had one daughter named Sherry Lynn.

In Illinois, Oscar assisted his family with farming chores. A census showed he did road maintenance work also. Oscar enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was later honorably discharged. (I know one of the places served was San Juan. I have his military discharge, photos, death and birth certificates.) When he lived in Wisconsin, he was first employed by Line Material (later called McGraw Edison and Kyle Industries) before the company made a decision to relocate many jobs to a southern state. Kyle/ Line Material was a company whose main product was electrical outside lighting. He worked as an Inspector and department/union representative for many years. Oscar worked for this company over 25 years. He briefly was a part time guard for Appleton Electric when he retired from Kyle Industries to fill his time.

After retirement from Kyle, he gradually stayed up later, even watching television later. He volunteered to drive a daughter to a job and pick her up in the mornings. Besides his daughters, Oscar loved driving and his cars. He always liked watching sports and news. He watched and/or taped Knots Landing (a Dallas spinoff), Falcon Crest (another night-time soap) and The Young and The Restless (daytime soap).

Oscar is buried with his 2nd wife, Bernice, at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Oscar passed away of complications of old age on January 24, 1996. Mothern-Bell, South Milwaukee, WI, funeral Home, had arranged for his funeral services.

Besides his 3 daughters, Oscar has the following known grandchildren: Bill Ziegler, Diana Suhre, Patricia Weber, Ginger Freson, Lonna Boll, Shelly Ludwig, Christopher and Curtis Parge. In addition, Oscar has 7 known great grandchildren and 4 known great great grandchildren. Oscar's siblings are: Eliza (Dwight Wheeler), Joe/Joseph (Ethel Garver), Donald "Doc" (Edna Childress), Harold "Fritz" and Rev. Florence (Guy Aaron/Norval Pierce Swinford). In addition, Oscar has nieces, nephews and cousins.

fyi...His younger sister's 1st husband, Guy Swinford died around age 25 of TB and Florence had married Guy's younger brother, Norval, who was kind enough to raise his niece.

All photos shown on memorial are of my father, Oscar. Look under photo tab for additional pictures and his siblings.
