Mary Ruth Odom, 88, passed away on July 8, 2010 at Haven Hall Nursing Home. Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Friday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 2pm Saturday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Georgetown Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Odom was a former member of New Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Johnie, and granddaughters, Mellisa Bland, Debrah Bland Delaney, Jimmy Middleton and Laurie White.
She was survived by husband, John Odom; sons, Randy Odom of Jackson and Ricky Odom and wife Mary of Hazlehurst; daughters, Elaine Bland and husband Henry of Hazlehurst, Barbara Ann Rutland of Brookhaven, and Betty Odom; brother, Toby Beasley and wife Vera of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Randy Wayne Odom, Stacey Odom Tipton, April Odom, Clint Rutland, Ronnie Middleton, Jennie Davis, Carl Wayne Middleton, David White, Chris White, Kevin White, Janet White, and Jannett White; great grandchildren, Amber Delaney, Nathan Delaney, Hanah Tipton, Michael Middleton, and Bradley Middleton.
