Heart Attack Is Fatal For Rutherford Cole
Madison Country Club Employe Dies Suddenly Today
Rutherford Cole, Sr., 71, of 1124 west Main street, suffered a fatal heart attack about 10:00 o'clock this morning while working at the Madison Country club where he was employed.
He was stricken while mowing the No. 6 green, northwest of the club house, near the Hanover road. Albert Graves, who was also at work on the links, hastened to his side, then summoned a physician who was on the course. Artificial respiration was administered without success.

He was born in Carroll county, Ky., in 1877 and moved to Madison when a small boy. He was married to Miss Anna Sauley on June 8, 1904.
Besides his wife, he leaves the following children, Mrs. Nelson Bivens, Miss Norma Ruth Cole, Curtis and Rutherford Cole, Jr., all of this city; Mrs. Joseph Owens of near Manville; Miss Marietta Cole and Oliver Cole of Connersville. He also leaves eight grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Rosetta Alexander, of this city, and Mrs. George Logan, of Covington, Ky.
