Lead Woman Dies; Rites Are Tuesday
Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Lead for Mrs. Ruth C. Anderson, 64, who died Saturday night at St. Joseph's Hospital in Deadwood following an illness of several months.
The final rites are set for 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church with Rev. John DeVries officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Lawn cemetery, Lead, under the direction of the McColley Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 1 p.m. and the casket will not be opened at the church. A memorial has been established for the Methodist Church organ fund.
Mrs. Anderson was born April 26, 1902 in Frederick, Md., and came to Lead in 1934 from Norfolk, Neb. where she had made her home for about 10 years.
Mrs. Anderson, who had been employed for about 13 years by the Black Hills Studios in Lead, was a member of the Methodist Church.
Her survivors include a son, Clark Anderson, Ames, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Sara McNurlen, Ames; Betty Anderson, Sheridan, Wyo.; Mrs. Evelyn Schulter, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Roger (Charlotte) Anderson, Lead; nine grandchildren, and two brothers, Ralph Boone, Poolesville, Md.; and Sherman Boone, Frederick, Md.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Clark and Roger Boone, a sister, Mrs. Nina Biddinger, and two grandchildren, Lynn and Troy Anderson
